French airline Air France has decided to auction the tickets for the inaugural flight of the world’s largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380, which it has just acquired. In our blog dedicated to luxury, we tell you how to access them, how much they cost and for what will be destined the money that is collected.
If you want to be part of the history of the company and make the inaugural flight of the “superjumbo” with Air France, from tomorrow Thursday you can make a normal reservation or bid for the ticket in the eBay auction portal.
The French company thus promotes its first flight with this device, capable of transporting 380 passengers, in the route that covers Paris- New York. The flights will be two being planned for November 20 and 21, and all the money raised will be donated to three humanitarian associations. Departure prices for tickets (round trip) have been set at 380 euro for the tourist class and 1,000 euros more if someone wants to travel in business class.
Those interested in bidding on eBay must register in their French version and thus access a virtual store created for the occasion. As an incentive, Air France, offers the auction winners a special rate to stay in both cities with a limited number of seats. The initiative is not new, as Singapore Airlines, the first company to charter a flight with the new Airbus model, held the same auction with identical conditions, gifts and humanitarian purposes in 2007.
