The churros are very easy to make and we can prepare them at home without any difficulty. The recipe has ingredients that we usually have at home and only have to propose and in a plastic plies we prepare a chocolate with churros that will serve us breakfast or snack for any day. They only carry flour, water, salt and sugar. I usually prepare them on Sunday, but any cold winter evening can serve to give us this enjoyment.
There is a kitchen accessory to make the churros, the churrera. If you do not have a churrera, you can use a pastry bag, but make sure you have removed the air to the dough that you are going to introduce. I’ve never experienced it, but I’ve been told that if you make churros without churrera, the churros explode. If you decide to try, be sure to cover the pan leaving a small opening so that there is no condensation and keep a reasonable distance from the fire.
- 1 glass of water
- 1 cup of flour

- – In a saucepan, heat the water with the salt until boiling. When it begins to boil, it is separated from the fire and all the flour is added to it at once. Mix with a spoon, stirring quickly and non-stop until ingredients are integrated and you get hard dough. If there is any grumito, it does not matter. If the dough is too hard, you can add a little water to make it more manageable, but just a little.
- – Introduce the dough in the churrera, with a mouthpiece with a large star shape. Press and the churros will be coming out. Leave the churros on the work table or the marble.
Step by step to prepare homemade churros
3.-Cut the churros and fry them in a frying pan or fryer with abundant oil. Refrigerate at 165ºC. I warn you that it costs them to gild, so you choose the level of fire, but if they are made fast, then they remain raw inside. When you get the desired golden color, remove them from the heat and leave them on absorbent kitchen paper and, before they cool, sprinkle with sugar. If you let them cool the sugar does not stick to the churros, so this step should be very fast.
4.-Without waiting for them to cool down, serve them with a good cup of chocolate. If you prefer to eat them alone, you choose.

IMPORTANT: I remind you again that you must use churrera. The air that can remain inside the churros, if you use pastry sleeve, could cause that they explode and, besides putting the kitchen loss of oil, you could suffer burns. If you decide to use churrera, you must make sure to press the dough well so that there is no air bubble left and maintain a safe distance.
